JYP Entertainment girl band ITZY is one of the bands which are leading the K-pop industry, like Blackpink and NewJeans. We have seen many comebacks of ITZY so far, but its new music styles have always won the hearts of K-pop fans. Each member is an expert in their vocals and mostly produces their own songs. Today, we will discuss ITZY’s comeback with its members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna, including the exact comeback date, time, album name, tracklist, and how to order it.
ITZY Comeback Date & Album
ITZY came back with their 8th mini-album, “Born to Be,” released on January 8, 2024, at 6 p.m. KST/4 a.m. EST. Through the SNS accounts, JYP officially announced on December 3, 2023, the news of ITZY’s comeback. Its eighth extended play, Born to Be, has ten tracks, five of which are solo tracks written by ITZY members, while the other five are group tracks. ITZY officially released the tracklist, and the tracks are as follows: “Born to Be,” “Untouchable” (title track), “Mr Vampire,” “Dynamite,” “Crown on My Head” (solo track by Yeji), “Blossom” (solo track by Lia), “Run Away” (solo track by Ryujin), “Mine” (solo track by Chaeryeong), “Yet But” (solo track by Yuna), and “Escalator.”
Born to Be is written by Noday, composed by Arineh Karimi and Gusten Dahlqvist, and arranged by Gusten Dahlqvist. Blossom is a solo track by ITZY member Lisa, but she is not a part of ITZY’s comeback and not even the upcoming world tour because of her health issues, though she expresses her warm congratulations to the group as stated by Yeji in a press release on January 8, 2024.
The band also released album tracks called “Born to Be” and “Mr. Vampire” on December 17, 2023, and January 2, 2024, at midnight KST, respectively, through YouTube, followed by all the music videos of solo tracks by ITZY girls. Finally, on January 8, at 6:00 p.m. KST, ITZY launched the music video for the single “Untouchable.” Though Born to Be has ten tracks, JYP still released it as its eighth mini-album.
Born to Be is released in three versions: A, B, and C, which are available on the official Itzy website, where you can still make pre-orders. Buying from Amazon is the best way to get the album at the minimum price, and you can also opt for Target if you want. Your buying methods can vary from mine as I am a US citizen and always opt for Amazon. On January 15, ITZY also released one new version, “Mr. Vampire.”
